There was a smash
There was a crash
Wasn't what I had intended
I apologised immediately
Soonest sorry
But soonest mended
No-one had worn it for years
That day at the Tower of London
I permanently broke
What was The Imperial Crown

All done by the 31st
That's what I intended
But the scenes kept coming
And threads needed to be blended

But the words they didn’t abound
I intended to write something clever
But I never do that. no never.

I intended to write poetic
But today’s been frenetic
I intended to write much more
But too many people arrived at the door.
